Domain WebEngine Server
Powered by Savoy's unique WebEngine integration platform, the Domain WebEngine Server
connects an array of diverse systems such as access control, intrusion alarm, irrigation control and
lighting from multiple sites into a single graphic control Enterprise Console; all without expensive
custom wiring. Organizations achieve more comprehensive security coverage with a single platform
than is possible using individual tools. With the Domain WebEngine Server, device control is
delivered over an enterprise’s IP-based network, whether LAN, WAN, or the Internet. Because the
Domain WebEngine Server runs over existing infrastructure, the cost to place, manage and monitor
cameras is dramatically reduced, particularly when compared to hard-wired solutions. The Domain
WebEngine Server uses an Adaptive Bandwidth technology to transport information without
impacting overall network performance

into an active property management infrastructure. At the same time, they reduce manpower
cost. In response to a remote alarm, rules-based triggers can automatically switch the
standard console views to preset alert and viewing devices for the operator. With traditional
device management systems, an operator can only monitor a small number of devices and still
realistically detect actionable changes on screen. With the Domain WebEngine Server,
operators can automatically monitor thousands of devices and trigger events, even if those
cameras are not currently in an operator’s direct view. Compared to human monitoring alone,
this automated monitoring increases the likelihood of catching an act in progress.
Remote Operations Made Easy
Because all information is sent over standard networks, the Domain WebEngine Server allows
personnel remote access to the complete operations center anywhere there is a high-speed
Internet connection. Multiple sites can simultaneously view devices, and, in case of crisis,
control can be easily switched from the regular operations center to a remote console. The
Domain WebEngine Server uses state-of-the-art encryption and VPN technology to ensure
the validity of security data.

A Savoy Domain is a software subsystem that supports a major facility within the Domain
WebEngine Server. Typically, Domains correlate to manufacturers and represent major
subsystems of a facility, such as lighting, or security. Within the Domain, there can be an
arbitrary number of devices, as appropriate.
The software for each Domain is an independent project and consists of two major
components: a Type Manager component that links to the Domain WebEngine Server, and a
Property Manager component that links to the Enterprise Console.
