WebEngine Server          What makes Savoy different

The WebEngine Server is a networked computer system that provides higher-level operating system
services for managing objects in a real-world environment. Objects are cast into a common
framework referred to as ‘Devices’. This framework provides the environment in which Devices can
interact. Device interaction is controlled by the execution of a rule-based computing element, which
permits device states to be compared, combined and controlled.

The WebEngine Server is designed to operate on networks of computers and is a combination of a
client/server as well as peer-peer system that can be run all in a single machine, or across a
network.  Network operation can include local area Ethernet, or Internet.

The WebEngine system can be applied to a broad base of applications that require the control and
coordination of persistent Devices. Devices include a wide variety of categories such as
communication devices (faxes, telephones, pagers, email), environmental devices (security
systems, lighting, heating), computer-related devices, Internet sites, and more, within a home, a
small business, a factory, or combinations of these connected across the Internet.

Video WebEngine Server

Powered by Savoy's unique WebEngine integration platform, the Video WebEngine Server connects
an array of  diverse systems such as video, access control, intrusion alarm and lighting from multiple
sites into a single graphic control Enterprise Console; all without expensive custom wiring.
Organizations achieve more comprehensive security coverage with a single security platform than is
possible using individual tools such as CCTV. With the Video WebEngine Server, security video is
delivered over an enterprise’s IP-based network, whether LAN, WAN, or the Internet. Because the
Video WebEngine Server runs over existing infrastructure, the cost to place, manage and monitor
cameras is dramatically reduced, particularly when compared to hard-wired solutions. And with
wireless networks, cameras can monitor remote locations and still transmit video back to the central
Enterprise Console. The Video WebEngine Server uses an Adaptive Bandwidth technology to
transport information without impacting overall network performance.  The Video WebEngine Server
provides the installation of a DVR and Video Mux into one package that can be distributed and or
centralized.

Enterprise Console

The Enterprise Console presents a client based graphical user interface for real-time video and
device management and control over the Internet (or corporate LAN) from an unlimited number of
WebEngine Servers located within geographically dispersed buildings.  Click on a camera or frame
window to zoom in and out, or use the Magnifier to derive full pixel quality.  Right click on a camera to
retrieve archived video during any time or date range. The Enterprise Console allows you to view as
many devices and or camera video streams at once if needed.
